Oysters & Pearls: White, ombre, rhythm of dots and dashes, platnium

LUXURY:
American Luxury reflects present perspectives of classicism,
modernism and cutting edge. Enjoyable, expensive, but not essential.
Paula Zanger's Luxury Dinnerware Collection has a surface in
which color creates an atmosphere framed by an opulent composition,
able to quietly enrich elegant celebrations. Specifically designed
to expand and elevate the SASAKI brand, this Luxury program
was historically inspired by commemorative plates. Primarily
an article on a Presidential Plate Collection which focused
on the opulence of the gold metals mixed with vibrant eighteenth
century glazing techniques. The Metallic rim-pattern frames
keep the radiant color contained thus, sophisticated. These
simple borders give a nod to both American Art Deco architecture
such as the Chrysler and Empire State Buildings while the whimsical
use of gold and platinum is reminiscent of Wiener Werkstatte's.
Ideas of
illumination, light awash, inventive innovation.
Presently, I think the influence of computer monitors in our
daily lives
makes for our visual experience of color to appear to be lit
from within.
Therefore product colors need to be slightly brighter to remain
current in
the eyes of the consumer. Such beautiful cliches, as dawn and
twilight
evoke universal images and memories that consumers (hopefully)
can and will
automatically relate to. Flowers and people are living, thus
illuminated,
whether as an organism or personality! Natural, "living",
gradients of
color. METAPHORS: Glowing Sunset, Iridescent Sky, Ocean, Earth
Metal.
DESIGN IS A VISUAL LANGUAGE. (Tangible poetry!)
